I sized up expecting the cotton to shrink, but after three washes they still fit exactly right. The elastic waistband doesn't dig in at all, and the 6.5" rise sits comfortably without riding up.

These have become my default around-the-house boxers. The 4% elastane makes a real difference, they stretch without going baggy after a wash, and the waistband doesn't dig in.

The cotton is that soft, broken-in feel right out of the wash, and the 4% elastane keeps the waistband from digging in. Six and a half inch rise sits just right, no riding up. Polka dots are cute without being loud.
