I've washed these three times already and the cotton hasn't pilled or shrunk a bit. The 2-inch inseam keeps them from bunching up when I run, which was my main worry. They've basically replaced every other pair of shorts I own this summer.

Honestly, I bought these for lounging, but the 2" inseam is short enough that I've started wearing them to the gym too. The waistband stretches well without digging in, and they've washed clean without shrinking. Just wish the pockets were a bit deeper.
