These are the first boy shorts that actually stay put instead of riding up, and the 8.5" rise hits right at my hip. The thick ribbed cotton feels substantial without being stiff, and that wide elastic waistband doesn't roll down once. Wish they came in more colors since I'd buy every one.
I was worried the waistband would dig in but it's actually really comfortable and stays put all day. The button detail is a cute touch and the 8.5 inch rise hits me right at the hip. Cotton feels substantial without being stiff.
The ribbed cotton is thick enough that it doesn't go see-through, which is why I bought these. Waistband stays put without digging in. I just wish the rise was a touch lower, but that's on me for not checking the 8.5" measurement.
